Editing

Edit your site with prompts

Describe what you want changed and Forgelo applies the revision. Tips for precise, predictable edits.

Once you have a draft, you do not rebuild it. You revise it. Type what you want different and Forgelo applies the change as a new version of your site.

How to make an edit

  1. Open your project in the editor.
  2. Type your change in the prompt box, for example: "Make the hero headline shorter and more confident, and change the primary color to deep green."
  3. Click the revise button. The edit runs in the background like a generation and appears as a new version when done.
  4. Review the result. If you do not like it, restore the previous version and try a different instruction.

Writing precise edit prompts

  • Name the section: "In the pricing section..." works better than "change the prices".
  • One theme per prompt. Batching five unrelated changes into one prompt makes results harder to review.
  • Give the exact copy when it matters: "Change the button text to 'Book a free consult'".
  • For style changes, describe the feeling and a reference: "More premium, more whitespace, serif headings".

What edits can do

Rewrite copy in a different tone or length, add or remove sections, change colors and fonts, restructure layouts, update contact details, and adjust images. If you want to fine-tune a single word, you can also edit text directly in the editor without spending an AI action.

Quota note

Each prompt edit counts as one AI action in your rolling 24 hour allowance. Failed edits do not count.
